Consultant Cardiologist Navtej Chahal explains how your age and your heart health are linked.
Age is strongly associated with developing heart disease. As you get older, the arteries do harden, blood pressure does increase, and this is associated with a higher risk of developing heart attacks.
Although there’s no magic anti-ageing pill at the moment, we can slow down the progression through adopting healthy lifestyle behaviours through principally exercising regularly and having a healthy diet.
