How long does cardiac CT (CT angiogram) take?

Consultant cardiologist Joban Sehmi explains how long cardiac CT takes

There are various stages involved in having a cardiac CT. There’s the preparation for the scan. There’s the time taken to carry out the scan, and there’s a certain amount of time taken for recovery.

Overall, your appointment will last approximately an hour and a half, and the scan itself is usually complete within 15 minutes.
