The results of cardiac CT are usually available on the day of the scan.
A cardiologist and a radiologist will report the findings. Now there’s much information that is available in the results.
The most important is to try and understand why you may have symptoms of chest pain. We get three-dimensional images of all the arteries of the heart, and the main purpose of the CT scan is to ensure that there are no significant narrowings that may provide an explanation for why you’re feeling unwell…

If significant narrowings are identified, then your cardiologist may refer you for some further investigations or interventions.
However, if mild narrowings are found, a cardiologist has the mandate to start the appropriate medication to prevent you from having a heart attack in the future.
