How do ambulatory BP recorders work?

Consultant cardiologist Dr. Navin Chandra explains how ambulatory BP recorders work.

The 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure cord works by wearing a cuff around the upper arm. This is connected by tubing to a monitor and the blood pressure cuff essentially inflates several times every hour, usually between 15 and 30 minutes intervals, to take accurate measurements of your blood pressure recording throughout the day and overnight whilst you’re doing your normal activities.

Live a longer and healthier life

Book an appointment and we’ll test your heart so we can map out a plan to give you the best chance of maximising your longevity

We get a real-world analysis of what your blood pressure is doing and this allows us to give you very accurate information on your specific blood pressure control. Also, it’s very useful for people that already have blood pressure and taking medications so we can tailor the medication doses according to what the blood pressure recording’s doing.

I invite you to book a consultation with Many Beats if you have any concerns about your heart health or if you’re concerned about risks for heart health going forward. We will see you in a timely fashion in a location in London, and we’ll provide you with very streamlined services so you can get a lot of investigations done, and a definitive management plan, which is tailored to you as the individual.
