How does Holter ECG monitoring work?

Consultant cardiologist Dr Navin Chandra explains how Holter ECG monitoring works.

The 24 hour ECG is essentially a way of monitoring your heart rhythm continuously.

Typically it involves using three ECG stickers or electrodes that are attached on the chest, which are connected by wires to a monitor that you can clip to your belt, and this gives us continuous monitoring of your ECG during the 24 periods.

Live a longer and healthier life

Get an appointment and we’ll test your heart so we can map out a plan to give you the best chance of maximising your longevity

We can look specifically for your heart rate control and heart rate variability, as well as any signs of heart rhythm abnormalities, particularly if you’re getting symptoms like palpitations that may come at various times during the day. So we can particularly focus on those times and see what is happening with your heart rhythm.

I invite you to book a consultation with Many Beats if you have any concerns about your heart health or if you’re concerned about risks for heart health going forward. We will see you in a timely fashion in a location in London, and we’ll provide you with very streamlined services so you can get a lot of investigations done, and a definitive management plan, which is tailored to you as the individual.
