How do heart disease symptoms impact your daily life?

Consultant cardiologist Ahmed Elghamaz discusses the impact of heart disease symptoms on your everyday life

The impact of heart disease symptoms in your life can be quite dramatic because they vary quite a lot. Most often, patients when they start developing either chest pain or breathlessness, it has a huge impact because they may not know what exactly is going on.

A lot of things go through their mind, and they start to feel anxious, uncomfortable, and sometimes depressed.

Live a longer and healthier life

Book an appointment and we’ll test your heart so we can map out a plan to give you the best chance of maximising your longevity

The worry of not knowing whether or not you have heart disease, or if these symptoms could represent that you have heart disease, can have a huge impact on your life.

In the majority of cases, thankfully patients don’t have heart disease, but the comfort and reassurance they have when we rule out heart disease can have a very positive impact on their life afterwards.

I strongly urge you to take our heart disease online self-test to assess your risk of developing heart disease in the future. It will take you less than five minutes and will give you a good idea if you are at increased risk, and whether or not you need to see a specialist.
